New Delhi, January 10: US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed son-in-law Jared Kushner in his White House team as the senior advisor to the president.
Kushner would be an "invaluable member of my team as I set and execute an ambitious agenda," said the President-elect in a statement acknowledging the appointment.
Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump, the elder daughter of Donald Trump. Kushner will work in a trio with Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon.
Trump is assured of an effective leadership from the trio.
Kushner, who is an orthodox Jewish real estate businessman, will follow the footsteps of father-in-law and will forego his salary of the post.
