Mumbai, January 10: The batsman-skipper from Ranchi, Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Tuesday played his last innings as a captain against England. As he walked out of the dressing room to bat, the crowd in the stands went GaGa.
He scored 68 runs off 40 balls with 23 runs being scored in the last over. The crowd kept screaming 'Dhoni... Dhoni' at the top of their voices to extend support to the Team India captain.
At one point in the match, a man breached security and ran out onto the pitch to touch the feet of Dhoni. Yes! Such is the madness of Captain Cool's fans. As tickets were being sold for free at the Brabourne and the flip-flop over the security cover, no one could immediately respond to the situation.
As the fan came running out on the field, Dhoni remained calm and offered a handshake to the man which he delightedly accepted and shook it good. Thereafter, he fell on Dhoni's feet.
Just a minute later, the security officials for the match escorted him off the field. Dhoni was batting with Hardik Pandya on the crease. No doubt, the others in the crowd would have been jealous hoping to be at the place of the man who got to shake hands with MS Dhoni.
