Lucknow, January 11: The Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday addressed the party workers in Lucknow along with brother Shivpal Yadav. Both will leave for Delhi in some time.
Speaking to party workers, Mulayam Singh Yadav made a startling revelation. He said that Ram Gopal Yadav is making a new party named 'Akhil Bharatiya Samajwadi Party' and has been demanding the 'motorcycle' as the symbol of the party.
Without naming anyone, he alleged that Ram Gopal has been working hand-in-glove with another party leader. Mulayam mentioned that had met a party President four times. He is probably referring to BJP President Amit Shah. He went on to accuse Ram Gopal for trying to break the Samajwadi Party at the behest of BJP ahead of upcoming assembly elections.
Mulayam mentioned that Ram Gopal is doing so on the directions of his son and daughter-in-law who are under the CBI radar in connection with the Noida Authority scam infamous as Engineer Yadav Singh scam. Ram Gopal is the main culprit behind the ongoing struggle in the party, Mulayam said.
He further added that they are neither making any separate party nor changing the 'cycle' symbol but the opposing group is doing so. Mulayam said that he told the other group to not create a controversy as they are rooting for unity in the party.
"Whatever I had belongs to the country. What else do I have? only, you people," Mulayam said in an emotional address. The Samajwadi Party recently looked divided into two camps, one led by Akhilesh Yadav and other by is father Mulayam Singh Yadav. Meanwhile, Ram Gopal is supporting Akhilesh while Shivpal is standing by Netaji's side.
