New Delhi, April 18: Indian weddings are one of a kind filled with decoration, food, amazing dresses and of course, gifts. But sometimes, few couples use their wedding to help the society with their innovative and inspirational ideas.
In the latest, a wedding couple in Madhya Pradesh requested their guests to fill the forms promising donation of organs posts their death. The couple who are practising doctors decided this together to inspire social work in their wedding.
'कोई भी उपहार लेकर न आए और अगर कोई उपहार देना चाहता है तो नेत्रदान या देहदान का संकल्प पत्र भरे ताकि जरूरतमंदों को जीवन मिल सके.'
"No one should bring gifts and if someone wants to gift then fill up the registration form for eye donation and organ donation so that needy ones could get new life," it was written in the wedding car.
The stall for registration for organ donation was behind other food stalls. Arun Chaudhary, a member of M.K International Eye Bank Foundation said this is the first time a newlywed couple took this initiative on their wedding.
Doctor and groom Vaibhav said he participates in other causes such as women empowerment and child development as well. He and his wife Yamini together decided to take this initiative for the sake of society.
