New Delhi, April 20: Less than two weeks after a flying ban on Ravindra Gaikwad was revoked, the Shiv Sena lawmaker finds himself in the news for the wrong reasons once again. A video has surfaced of Gaikwad having a heated argument with policemen over "non-functioning" of ATMs at Latur in Maharashtra's Marathwada region.
A clip of the incident was put out by news agency ANI on Wednesday.
Gaikwad sent his aide to withdraw money from an ATM at Latur. However, the aide returned empty handed, saying the ATM had run out of cash. This happened with a few others ATMs, prompting the Sena MP to go out and stage a protest with his supporters outside an ATM.
Earlier, on March 23, Gaikwad assaulted an Air India manager, hitting him "25 times" with his slipper. Following the incident, Air India along with four leading private carriers blacklisted Gaikwad from flying, till he appologised for the assault.
