The visuals of the bag containing the dead body of Dhillon is frightening, to say the least. The video of the body covered in blood kept in a briefcase was beyond our rights to publish here but it has gone viral on social media.
Sirat Dhillon killed her husband with her licenced 9mm pistol at their house in Phase 3B1 on Saturday night in Mohali, bundled his body in a suitcase and was going to dispose it of on Sunday morning when her plan was foiled by an auto driver.
The 6 foot 3 inches tall body weighted 100 kg, and thus Sirat along with another woman was unable to keep the bag in the boot. When she asked an auto driver to help them, he kept the suitcase inside but suddenly saw blood oozing out of the suitcase. He instantly fled from the spot and called the police.
The body was found in the boot of victim's BMW car outside his rented house. The murdered fled from the spot but was arrested later on Sunday night by the police.
The police have also booked Sirat's mother Jaswinder Kaur and brother Vinay Partap Singh under sections 34, 201, and 302 of the IPC.
Sirat Kaur is the niece of former Congress MLA Ajit Inder Singh Mofar, who had lost in the recent assembly election to a SAD candidate. Victim's father claimed that his son was killed by his wife with the help of family members.
39-year-old Ikam Dhillon was a property dealer by profession and his father Jaspal Singh Dhillon is a human rights activist. The father reached the spot with his younger son only to find his son brutally murdered.
Jaspal had last met Ekam at around 10:30 am on Saturday night. Ekam was visibly depressed and broke down before father when asked about the reason behind it.
