New Delhi, January 4: Demonetisation woes haven't ended even after complete scrapping of old 500 and 1000 notes as a poor woman went topless in front of RBI gate after it refused to exchange her notes.
The government had issued a deadline till December 30 to exchange scrapped notes and the frustrated women became topless as she was unable to get a few junked currency notes.
The woman was waiting along with her child and was in tears after guards repeatedly turned her away refusing to exchange notes.
When the guards again tried to move her away, she in frustration took off her clothes and sat topless in front of the iron gate steps away from the Parliament House, leaving onlookers as well as security personnel in shock.
The RBI guards then called the police who took her, along with kid to police station.
She wasn't the only one who had reached bank to exchange currency as several including retired and aged persons demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stick to his statement made in his November 8 address to the nation that old notes could be exchanged at the select RBI offices till March 31.
