New Delhi, Jan 4: Reports have emerged out that small screen actor Sunil Grover who shot to fame with his role of 'Gutthi' in the Kapil Sharma show has apparently received threat calls from the underworld.
In his upcoming film Coffee With D, Sunil will be seen as a journalist, who tries to fix an interview with Dawood Ibrahim.
As per media reports, the makers and the cast of the film have been receiving threat calls since the trailer of the film was made public on December 14, 2016.
A case has been filed at the Parliament street police station in Delhi regarding the same.
The director was quoted as saying, "We have been receiving calls from a man claiming to be the right hand of Dawood, Chota Shakeel. We are law abiding citizens and stay in a democratic country. We haven’t done anything wrong in making the film on Dawood and will maintain that. We also don’t know how much truth lies behind the caller and his threats but all we can do is at least let the police and people know it."
However, the actor Sunil has refuted the news saying that "I am not in Delhi. I am not filing any complaint against anybody. It's a fake news."
In the meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police R.P.Meena said, "We have not registered an FIR in this connection on their allegations. Their complaint is being studied for further course of an investigation if needed."
