New Delhi, January 11: A movie distributor in Mumbai claimed that he has received death threats from Chhattisgarh wing of Shiv Sena over the release of upcoming Bollywood action crime thriller "Raees", which is embroiled in a controversy for starring Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees is all set to hit the theatres on January 25.
Distributor Akshaye Rathi uploaded a picture of the letter on his Twitter account and tagged Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and Yuva Shiv Sena chief Aditya Thackeray.
"Please look into this to let law & order prevail in Chhattisgarh," he captioned the picture.
He further requested Shah Rukh Khan fans to bring this picture into the notice of Thackeray.
In the letter, the movie was referred to be made by a traitor, and thus requested the distributors to not show the film in their theatres.
In the end, it threatened the distributors saying is the movie is screened in the theatre, the owners should be ready for the consequences.
