When Bhavana tried to save her friend from a cheating husband, Dileep allegedly decided to make her pay for this by defaming her through a rape MMS.
Dileep was allegedly openly romancing Kavya Madhavan during a foreign trip which Bhavana was also a part of. Bhavana who was also a friend to Dileep's then wife Manju Warrier revealed Dileep's affair which led to their divorce.

Dileep then contracted a petty criminal Pulsar Suni on a bounty of Rs 1.5 crore, asking him to sexually assault the actress and record explicit visuals of the act to defame her in future.
According to the police remand report, he told Suni to ensure that the video should be shot "up and close" with the visuals of recently engaged Bhavana's ring finger so that the video couldn't be labelled morphed.
Dileep wanted to destroy Bhavana's marriage since she disclosed her extra-marital affairs. Fortunately, that could not happen and now Dileep will have to fight court cases for his crime.
In fact, her wife Manju Warrier was the first to openly claim a conspiracy behind Bhavana's abduction at the condolence held soon after the incident. However, she is pained at the arrest of Dileep as she always respected him as the father of her child and never spoke anything against him even during the divorce. Now, she has decided to file a custody for her daughter.
Following his arrest on Monday, Dileep was summarily removed from the primary membership of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Other organisations related to producers, exhibitors and film employees too followed suit, completing the isolation of an actor who was considered the superstar of Malayalam film industry.
As of now, he has been remanded in 14-day judicial custody which might extend after further investigation.
Dileep has been charged under sections 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 366 (kidnapping), 376 (d) (a woman is raped by one or more persons constituting a group or acting in furtherance of a common intention), 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property), 506 (i), 201 (punishment for criminal intimidation), 212 (harbouring offender) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC and Sections 66 (E) and 67 (A) of the IT Act.
Bhavana was kidnapped and molested on her way back home from a shoot on Friday night in Ernakulam district of Kerala. She was released after an hour.
This revenge drama will probably cost Dileep his hard-earned career which got him the label of 'Janapriya Nayakan', the people's hero.
