Mumbai, March 20: As per the reports doing the round, while returning from Australia on Thursday, a heavily drunk Kapil Sharma got into an ugly spat with his co-star Sunil Grover on the flight and also assaulted him physically.
While Kapil has brushed off the controversy by calling it a 'fight for good work', a source close to Sunil informed zoom tv that owing to Kapil's abusive behaviour Sunil has quit the Kapil Sharma Show (for real).
Sources close to The Kapil Sharma Show informed TOI that Sunil is very hurt with Kapil's disrespectful behaviour and is in no mood to return to the show. It is not the first time that the TKSS host has behaved in such a manner. It has now become a matter of respect for Sunil and it would be beyond his dignity to stay back on the show as he was not at fault.
Though Sunil is not in a position to give any official statement at the moment, Kapil Sharma, on the other hand, is on a damage control spree. In an attempt to survive the upheaval, Kapil Sharma wrote a lengthy post this morning saying that it's our family matter and we will sort this out.
Knowing the fact that Sunil's exit from the comedy show will cause a huge loss to the show, looks like Kapil is now trying to mend his relations with Sunil.
While Sunil has chosen to maintain his dignity and say good-bye to Kapil's show, what happens next, is yet to be seen.
