New Delhi, January 7: Election Commission has roped in comedian Kapil Sharma in order to motivate its voters to cast votes on February 4 in the State Assembly elections in Punjab.
Apart from Kapil, rapper, actor Dr Zeus and comedian Binnu Dhillon are supposed to take part in the campaign.
As told by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Grievances) Nayan Bhullar, Kapil Sharma had recorded a 25-second video, urging people to vote on February 4. Besides, he will be seen urging first-time voters to make their presence in the election booth as well.
Bhullar said the video was shot with Kapil in Mohali some time ago.
EC has also planned to put up hoardings in Phase VI where under-21 Indian hockey captain Harjeet Singh Tuli is coming on January 7. The hoardings will be put up on his vehicle so that it can grab the attention of more people.
